A relaxing walk around Béhuard

This small town is the only village to lie on an island in the Loire. Its picturesque surroundings are among those that have made the Loire Valley a World Heritage Site.

Touristic places
- Béhuard is also well-known as a spiritual stage. The King Louis XI ordered the construction of the Notre Dame de Béhuard chapel, today a place of pilgrimage. Nowadays, many believers receive communion during the Marian feasts on the 15th of August.
- The Loire river has long been considered as the favourite communication axis pour merchant traffic and shows in summer all the groynes that were created for an easier navigation.
