  • After 14 years of Michelin-starred cooking, the famous local chef Gérard Bossé decided to change pace and put the chase for stars to one side. He has turned his restaurant Une Île into Presqu’Île. For lunch, it serves a table d’hôte-style set menu. You still have honest cuisine with the precision endeared by this chef; there are just fewer people in the kitchen and so dishes are more ‘simple’. On the midday menu, you find ‘homemade’ smoked salmon, mushroom velouté with lardo di Colonnata, a chicken marengo or a guinea fowl tagine, with chocolate cake for dessert. They also serve tapas to accompany a good glass of wine and the more elaborate evening menu is around 50 euros. Presqu’Île is also ‘virtually a cellar’, since you can buy wines à la carte and ‘virtually an art gallery’ hosting regular exhibitions of guest artists.
