  • The former 19th-century coaching inn, located at 9 Rue de la Gare, is a historic Angers address. And for good reason: it's been a restaurant for more than a century! Anxious to retain the charm of the place, Julien Ropars and Frédéric Algan took over the baton in 2020 by bringing their love of local, fresh, organic products. It's for good reason that Rouge des Prés, the local red meat, is one of the specialities cooked by Frédéric Algan, served à la carte under the name “la belle rouge”....

Anxious to retain the charm of the place, Julien Ropars and Frédéric Algan took over the baton in 2020 by bringing their love of local, fresh, organic products. It's for good reason that Rouge des Prés, the local red meat, is one of the specialities cooked by Frédéric Algan, served à la carte under the name “la belle rouge”. People also particularly like the original dessert buffet put together by the chef according to personal preferences. For his part, Julien Ropars, a former lawyer who's passionate about wine, has put together a list of essentially organic, natural wines. Together, they create a friendly place where you can have lunch with bistro cuisine, with recipes full of character, mixing tradition and up-to-date taste, in an eco-responsible approach with an Ecotable+B10 label. A bonus that makes the place even more highly prized!
