It's hard to miss Mathilde Batardière and Wolfgang Castellanos Bejarano's pretty barge when strolling along the Maine, on Quai des Carmes. With its blue, orange and white paint and superb terrace with views of the cathedral and château, it's one of the most pleasant places in summer. In winter, the cosy interior welcomes lovers of fine wines and top products. Mathilde, the sommelier, has put together a menu of excellent local references and wines from further afield, while Wolfgang works in the kitchen with a selection of very fine products for snacks or dinner. You can taste charcuterie, cheese or vegetarian platters, as well as hot Mont d'Or and Morteau sausage, toast, a hodgepodge of legumes and a chocolate fondant to die for, accompanied by ice cream from Les Garçons Glaciers... The couple sometimes organise Colombian BBQs on deck and concerts in the hold, creating a very successful festive atmosphere! Also consider it as a venue for a meeting or group dinner: the hold is available for private hire.
