Family weekend break including Terra Botanica

Spend a weekend together as a family exploring Angers and the Terra Botanica park.

What if you took a break together as a family to visit Terra Botanica, the only theme park in Europe dedicated to plants? A one-of-a-kind experience awaits you.

Terra Botanica: A great day out for families !

As soon as you arrive, you’ll step deep into an extraordinary world home to 275,000 varieties of plants. With your children, you will try your hand at searching for amber, encounter dinosaurs, follow the journey of a drop of water in the 4D cinema and climb above the treetops... After such intense sensations, a boat ride on the park’s tranquil waters will be a welcome treat. For lunch, you’ll find several eating places within the park offering a choice of traditional cuisine, sandwiches, snacks and more.

You can continue your visit with a stroll through the butterfly house. Children will love seeing the butterflies fluttering about above their heads. And for even more fantastic memories to take home, end your visit by riding 150 metres up into the air, in the world’s largest gas balloon (a supplement applies).

The evening to recharge your batteries

After a day of walking about, you will probably be happy to relax in your hotel room. Everyone will have so much to talk about after this family afternoon at the Terra Botanica park. After a good night’s sleep and a warm bowl of hot chocolate or coffee, you’ll be ready to set off again and to continue your family weekend break exploring Angers at a pleasant pace.

Time to discover Angers!

You’ll spend this second day conquering the capital of Anjou. Visit Angers Castle, a must-see attraction (entry not included in the stay), and climb the towers for a 360 view of the city. The Bout du Monde walkway is a good place to stop for a snack with its panoramic view over the river Maine and the Doutre district. In the afternoon, kids can let off steam in the Jardin des Beaux Arts before a visit of the Fine Arts museum, which even the youngest visitors will enjoy.
